Mumbai, Jan 8 (NationPress) Actor Arshad Warsi, who recently appeared in ‘Bandaa Singh Chaudhary’, had a comical encounter with the legendary Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan.
An old clip showcasing the actor's experience during a visit to Big B’s residence has gone viral on social media, revealing a gathering at the home of the esteemed megastar, who was the producer of Warsi's debut film ‘Tere Mere Sapne’.
In the video, Warsi recounted how his reputation took a hit in front of Big B when he requested a drink during the senior actor’s dinner party.
He shared, “While working on our inaugural film, Amitabh Bachchan was the producer. His name would leave many in awe. One day, he invited us over for dinner. Chandrachur Singh, Mukul Dev, and I were seated together. Mr. Bachchan asked, ‘What would you like to have?’ Mukul Dev replied, ‘I'll take sweet lime juice’. He then turned to Rocky and asked, ‘What about you?’. Rocky said, ‘Coke’. When it was my turn, I boldly replied, ‘I’d like single malt on the rocks’. The look he gave me was priceless. Mukul Dev held lemonade, Chandrachur had cola, and I was the only one with whisky.”
Warsi continued, “Mr. Bachchan then turned away. By the time he came back, I realized my glass was empty. He glanced at me and said, ‘You need to pace yourself, my son’. I quickly responded, ‘Yes, sir’. That was the moment I thought he considered me a heavy drinker.”
