Mumbai, Jan 23 (NationPress) Members of the Hindi entertainment industry, Remo D'Souza, Rajpal Yadav, and Sugandha Mishra have received a threatening message from an unknown source.
A formal report has been lodged at the Amboli police station in Mumbai based on the statement of actor Rajpal Yadav.
Following the same threatening email, Sugandha Mishra also filed a complaint, prompting police to initiate an investigation, and Remo D'Souza has since added his own complaint at the station.
According to law enforcement, the threat email originated from Pakistan.
The email stated, "We are observing your recent activities and deem it necessary to alert you about a sensitive issue. This is neither a publicity stunt nor an attempt to intimidate; we implore you to regard this message with the utmost seriousness and confidentiality."
The sender identified himself as BISHNU.
Recently, Mumbai police have heightened their vigilance due to a surge in law and order issues, particularly following the deadly attack on politician Baba Siddique, threats directed at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, and the recent stabbing incident involving actor Saif Ali Khan.
Last October, Baba Siddique was fatally shot near his residence in the Bandra area of Mumbai.
The murder was reportedly claimed by the gang of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. In response, Salman Khan has significantly increased his security measures, even fitting bullet-proof glass to his balcony.
It was at a Baba Siddique Iftar party in 2013 that the long-standing rivalry between two of Bollywood's biggest stars, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, was reconciled after five years of division in the industry. Their embrace at the party brought relief and encouraged collaborations across the camps.
A week ago, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder who entered his Bandra home through the room of his youngest son, Jeh, in the early hours of Thursday. Saif reportedly went to the hospital independently, accompanied by his son Taimur.
According to media outlets, doctors extracted a 2.5-inch knife from his injury.
Saif Ali Khan endured multiple stab wounds while attempting to fend off the assailant.
The actor was stabbed six times, with two injuries considered serious due to their proximity to his spine.
The incident unfolded as the assailant allegedly invaded their Bandra home, attacking the housekeeper before Saif intervened.
Saif was alerted by the disturbance in his son Jeh's room. Upon entering, he witnessed the assailant confronting their house help and bravely intervened to protect them.
