Mumbai, May 20 (NationPress) Actor Udit Arora has recently taken on the role of Kunal Mehta in the romantic comedy series, The Royals. In a candid discussion with IANS, Udit expressed that portraying this character authentically posed a significant challenge for him.
He mentioned, "The challenge was real. To embody someone genuinely, it’s crucial to grasp their essence—how they think, their traits, their background, and their journey. All these aspects must be internalized."
When questioned about whether the OTT platform has provided him with the recognition he deserves, the 'Jamtara' star concurred, stating, "Absolutely. Every artist requires a platform, and for me, that has been OTT."
However, he added, "Nonetheless, I believe that hard work and talent will always lead you to your platform eventually—regardless of the time or place."
Udit also shared his gratitude for not being typecast in a particular role thus far. "That’s something I truly cherish. I aspire to continue playing varied characters and immerse myself in different narratives and universes," he remarked.
Regarding his upcoming projects, Udit shared, "I’m currently engaged in a film titled 'Agni', directed by Rahul Dholakia. It stars Saif Ali Khan and is being produced for Netflix."
Returning to The Royals, directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, the main cast includes Bhumi Pednekar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, and Sakshi Tanwar, among others.
