For instance, a medicine priced at 100 rupees in stores can be purchased at the Kendra for only 10 rupees, resulting in a direct savings of 90 rupees for consumers. Nanak Singh, a patron of the center, expressed to IANS: "The medications at this government-run Jan Aushadhi Kendra are remarkably affordable when compared to those at private pharmacies. Previously, I had to buy expensive medicines, but since the Kendra opened, I have been able to obtain them at much lower prices. Private stores charge exorbitant rates, but here at the Kendra, I can access them for a fraction of the cost." He noted that discounts range from 50% to 90%, and the medicines are effective for patients.
