Kochi, March 3 (NationPress) Well-known nephrologist and esteemed surgeon Dr. George P. Abraham was discovered deceased at his farmhouse located close to the Cochin International Airport.

The 77-year-old, recognized as one of India's foremost kidney transplant surgeons, was found hanging, and authorities recovered a suicide note.

In the note, he expressed that due to his deteriorating health, he felt unable to continue with his responsibilities.

Throughout his nearly fifty-year medical career, he successfully performed over 2,500 kidney transplants, setting a record in Kerala.

Just the previous Saturday, he had been active at a local private hospital, where he engaged with patients.

Recently, Abraham had undergone surgery on his spine. According to a resident near his farmhouse, he regularly visited his property every Sunday to relax.
