Among the casualties, all six fatalities and 13 injuries occurred in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, where US strikes targeted a residential area in the Amin Muqbil district, while two additional injuries were documented in Dhamar province, where an assault on a farm took place, according to Xinhua news agency.
The airstrikes also targeted communications infrastructure in the western-central province of Amran and the central province of Ibb, as stated by Houthi television and local residents.
Civil Defence teams are engaged in efforts to extinguish fires at the struck facilities, as reported by Houthi television.
The United States escalated its military operations against Houthi positions in Yemen on Tuesday, executing a total of 50 airstrikes.
The US military has not yet issued a comment, but it has previously indicated that it intends to carry out airstrikes daily until the Houthis cease their attacks on commercial vessels and US warships in the Red Sea.
Ongoing US airstrikes have not dissuaded the Houthi group, which continues to target American and Israeli-affiliated interests in the region. The Houthis assert that their operations aim to exert pressure on US-backed Israel to halt airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and facilitate humanitarian assistance into the enclave.
Earlier on Tuesday, the United States amplified its military operations against Houthi sites in Yemen, executing 22 airstrikes across northern Yemen.
These attacks focused on eastern and southern regions of the capital, Sanaa, the Kamaran Island in the Red Sea, and the oil-rich province of Marib, according to reports from Houthi-run al-Masirah TV and local residents.
