Sanaa, April 9 (NationPress) A minimum of six individuals lost their lives and 15 others sustained injuries in a series of US airstrikes across Yemen on Tuesday, as reported by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV and local health officials.
Among the casualties, all six fatalities and 13 injuries occurred in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, where US strikes targeted a residential area in the Amin Muqbil district, while two additional injuries were documented in Dhamar province, where an assault on a farm took place, according to Xinhua news agency.
The airstrikes also targeted communications infrastructure in the western-central province of Amran and the central province of Ibb, as stated by Houthi television and local residents.
Civil Defence teams are engaged in efforts to extinguish fires at the struck facilities, as reported by Houthi television.
The United States escalated its military operations against Houthi positions in Yemen on Tuesday, executing a total of 50 airstrikes.
