On social media platform X, CM Yogi shared his greetings, stating, "A hearty welcome and greetings to His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan in Uttar Pradesh, a land rich in valor, culture, and cultural harmony!"

CM Yogi is visiting Prayagraj to engage in various programs and monitor the security measures for the Maha Kumbh, which has already experienced an enormous turnout.

On Monday, a delegation of 110 members from Bhutan, along with Heads of Mission (HoM), spouses of HoMs, and diplomats representing 71 countries, attended the Maha Kumbh Mela.

The Maha Kumbh 2025, which commenced on January 13, is set to continue until February 26. This event has attracted millions of devotees from both India and abroad and is on track to achieve record attendance.

To date, approximately 35 crore devotees have participated in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. On Basant Panchami, a significant crowd gathered for the Amrit Snan, as hundreds of thousands of devotees arrived from different regions.

In spite of a recent tragic stampede that resulted in 30 fatalities and over 60 injuries, the spirit among pilgrims remains resilient. Consequently, security has been enhanced, with CM Yogi personally overseeing these arrangements.

The increased security measures were particularly visible during the Basant Panchami Amrit Snan, where thousands of devotees enjoyed a peaceful and organized dip at the Sangam Nose. The Chief Minister had previously conducted a high-level review meeting from his official residence to ensure seamless arrangements.

With expectations of another large gathering today, authorities are making every effort to guarantee a safe and smooth experience for all participants.
