Quetta, April 17 (NationPress) The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has taken responsibility for an assault on a Pakistani military camp located in the Jhao region, along with the blockade of a significant highway in the Kharan area of Balochistan, as reported by local media on Friday citing a statement from the group.

According to BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group's operatives executed an attack on the military facility in the Kohadu region of Jhao on April 12, resulting in casualties among military personnel. The Balochistan Post has reported.

The operation commenced with a sniper assault on an officer guarding the camp, succeeded by what was described as a synchronized attack utilizing rocket launchers and automatic firearms.

"This operation inflicted substantial damage on the camp, with numerous military personnel either killed or wounded," stated the group's spokesperson.

In a distinct operation on April 14, the BLF asserted that its fighters obstructed the Nourozabad Road in the Sarawan area of Kharan, maintaining control over the highway for several hours while conducting searches on vehicles.

The BLF cautioned transport operators against collaborating with Pakistani forces, asserting that those providing logistical or personnel support would be "directly targeted."

In their statement, the BLF emphasized, "Anyone aiding the enemy in logistics or personnel movement will face direct consequences."

The group vowed to persist in executing armed operations against Pakistani forces and their "facilitators" until they achieve what they describe as the "complete independence of Balochistan."

In March, the BLF claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated strikes targeting telecommunications infrastructure and a Frontier Corps (FC) post throughout Balochistan, reportedly leading to casualties among security forces and considerable material destruction.

In a media statement, spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch mentioned that the group’s fighters conducted an operation on March 26 in the Bhawani area of Hub Chowki, where they ignited and obliterated machinery at a mobile tower site, claiming it was utilized for surveillance.

The spokesperson further detailed that in a separate incident on March 22, BLF fighters directed rocket fire at an FC post situated in the Charfanok area of Shehrak within the Kech district, leading to casualties and infrastructure losses, as reported by The Balochistan Post. He also noted that machinery at a nearby Ufone telecommunications tower was set ablaze, rendering it non-operational.
