Rome, May 29 (NationPress) The Indian all-Party Parliamentary delegation, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, departed from Rome on Thursday following a comprehensive program in Italy. During their visit, they emphatically communicated India's unwavering position and national determination against terrorism and those who support it.
The delegation is now set to embark on their next mission in Denmark to continue advocating for India's steadfast approach to combatting terrorism.
In Copenhagen, they will meet with Danish Parliamentarians, political party members, media representatives, and the Indian diaspora to discuss India's perspective on global terrorism challenges.
Previously, the delegation had a fruitful visit in Italy, engaging with influential Italian leaders, think tanks, strategic analysts, and news agencies. They emphasized India's zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism facilitated by Pakistan.
“Our discussions with Italy's Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, Senator Giulio Tremonti, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee were enlightening,” Prasad shared on X.
“We connected with prominent think tanks and strategic specialists, sharing India's zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and our commitment to fighting it in all its forms. We were pleased to find a shared understanding between India and Italy regarding global terrorism issues. Both countries reaffirmed their dedication to collaborating for peace and friendship, highlighting the strong ties between India and Italy,” the post continued.
Earlier, Undersecretary Maria Tripodi took to social media, underscoring the united front that Italy and India will present against shared global challenges.
“We had constructive exchanges with the visiting Indian parliamentary delegation in the Senate of Italy. Italy and India are united by a strategic partnership, working together to tackle common challenges,” Tripodi stated on Thursday.
The delegation reiterated India’s firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to zero tolerance during a significant meeting with Senator Giulio Terzi, head of the India-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, and its members.
