Iran's Supreme Leader Claims US-Israeli Conspiracy Behind Syrian Turmoil

Tehran, Dec 11 (NationPress) Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated on Wednesday that the political unrest in Syria is a consequence of a coordinated 'plot' involving both the United States and Israel.
During a meeting with a diverse group of individuals in Tehran, he addressed the recent events in Syria, which have resulted in the downfall of President Bashar al-Assad's administration, as shown in the video footage shared by his official website.
The Iranian leader remarked that while one of Syria's neighboring countries has clearly been involved, the principal 'factors, conspirators, plotters, and command room' are based in the United States and Israel.
He asserted, 'We possess undeniable evidence for this', as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Refuting any claims regarding the weakening of the resistance front following the collapse of al-Assad's regime, Khamenei expressed confidence that the resistance would only grow stronger.
'This is the resistance. This is the resistance front. The more you pressure it, the stronger it becomes; the more crimes you commit, the more motivated it is; and the more you combat it, the more widespread it will be,' he stated.
Khamenei elaborated that those who invaded Syria had various motives, indicating that some factions in northern and southern Syria aimed to capture land, while the United States sought to reinforce its presence in the region.
He emphasized that time will reveal that none of these parties will succeed in their goals, asserting that the regions of Syria that have been taken will inevitably be reclaimed by the nation's 'brave' youth.
Al-Assad has reportedly resigned and sought asylum in Russia after his government crumbled on Sunday due to a significant offensive by militant groups.
