Israeli Airstrike Claims Lives of 10 Palestinians in Gaza City: Reports

Gaza, Dec 9 (NationPress) At least 10 Palestinians lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike targeting a gathering in central Gaza City, as reported by the Palestinian civil defense in the Gaza Strip.
Civil defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal stated in a press release that among the victims were children and women, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
As of now, the Israeli army has not issued any comments regarding this incident.
The Israel Defense Forces announced on Sunday that their troops recently completed a targeted operation aimed at dismantling underground militant infrastructure in the Jabalia area located in the northern Gaza Strip.
In a separate statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, reported that their members successfully destroyed an Israeli armored personnel carrier and a tank on Saturday in Rafah, situated in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israel has been engaged in an extensive offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip as a response to a Hamas attack through the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 fatalities and around 250 hostages.
According to Gaza-based health authorities, the ongoing Israeli attacks have raised the Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip to 44,708.
