27 Palestinians Lose Their Lives in Israeli Strikes on Gaza

Gaza, Dec 13 (NationPress) A minimum of 27 Palestinians have died and numerous others have sustained injuries due to Israeli airstrikes on residential buildings in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp situated in the central Gaza Strip, as reported by Palestinian sources.
According to Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defence, the Israeli airstrikes targeted a residential area that houses the government post office building, which was serving as a refuge for displaced individuals.
Rescue efforts are ongoing, hampered by a shortage of equipment and the persistent overflight of Israeli warplanes, Basal stated, emphasizing that the death toll may increase since many of the injured are in critical condition, as reported by Xinhua.
There has been no immediate response from the Israeli military regarding the recent attacks.
Earlier on Wednesday, at least 10 Palestinians were reported killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting a gathering in central Gaza City, according to the Palestinian Civil Defence.
Basal confirmed in a press statement that among the victims were children and women, as noted by Xinhua.
The Israeli army has not yet commented on this particular incident.
On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces announced a successful operation aimed at dismantling underground militant infrastructure in the Jabalia region of northern Gaza Strip.
Israel has been executing a significant military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as a response to a Hamas attack that occurred on October 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 fatalities and around 250 individuals taken hostage.
According to health authorities based in Gaza, the Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli assaults has now reached 44,835, as stated on Thursday.
