Israeli Airstrikes Claim Lives of 18 in Gaza

Gaza, Dec 21 (NationPress) A minimum of 18 Palestinians lost their lives due to Israeli airstrikes targeting the central and northern areas of the Gaza Strip, as reported by Palestinian sources.
According to local accounts and witnesses, Israeli military aircraft struck an apartment within the multi-story 'Yaffa' tower situated in the al-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
An announcement from Al-Awda Hospital in the camp verified that eight individuals were killed and 14 others suffered injuries, with several in critical condition, following the assault.
In northern Gaza, Israeli shelling impacted a residence belonging to the 'Khilla' family in Jabalia Al-Balad, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals and multiple injuries, according to reports from the Gaza Strip's Civil Defence.
The Israeli military has not provided any statements regarding these occurrences, as noted by Xinhua news agency.
On the same day, the armed faction of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, declared that one of its members executed a suicide attack against a unit of six Israeli soldiers in the Jabalia refugee camp located in northern Gaza.
The Israeli military has refrained from commenting on this event as well.
Earlier on Thursday, at least 16 Palestinians were reported killed due to Israeli bombings in northern Gaza, according to WAFA, the Palestinian official news agency.
On Wednesday night, at least 10 individuals were killed and several more injured when Israeli aircraft bombarded the residence of the Al-Najjar family in Jabalia, as reported by WAFA.
Additionally, six more casualties occurred due to Israeli strikes on the Al-Zaytouniya family's home near Al-Tabi'in School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City, the report stated.
The Israeli military has yet to comment on these incidents, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Israel has been executing a comprehensive offensive against Hamas in Gaza as a response to the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on southern Israel, which resulted in approximately 1,200 fatalities and the abduction of 250 hostages.
As of Friday, the cumulative Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli assaults in Gaza has risen to 45,206, according to health authorities based in Gaza.
