Israeli Airstrikes Claim the Lives of 16 Palestinians in Gaza

Gaza, Dec. 18 (NationPress) At least 16 Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza, according to a report from the Palestinian official news agency WAFA.
On Wednesday night, 10 individuals were killed and several others were injured when Israeli aircraft targeted the residence of the Al-Najjar family in Jabalia, as per WAFA.
Furthermore, six additional fatalities were reported due to bombings on the Al-Zaytouniya family's home near the Al-Tabi'in School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, located east of Gaza City.
As reported by Xinhua news agency, the Israeli army has not provided any comments regarding these occurrences.
Additionally, Palestinian sources stated that at least 24 Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli operations throughout the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday, Israeli warplanes targeted a house in Beit Hanoun, situated in northern Gaza, according to security sources.
Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for Civil Defence in Gaza, informed Xinhua that four individuals, including two women, were killed in this strike, with several others still unaccounted for beneath the debris.
In another incident in northern Gaza, two more fatalities occurred, along with one serious injury, when an Israeli drone struck a gathering of Palestinians in the Jabalia area, Basal reported.
Moreover, a brief statement from Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza confirmed that a paramedic was killed during an Israeli airstrike on a building in Beit Lahia at dawn.
Israel has been executing a significant offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for a Hamas attack on the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and around 250 hostages.
According to a statement from Gaza-based health authorities, the Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli assaults has reached 45,097 as of Wednesday.
