Paris, Feb 11 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Estonian President Alar Karis engaged in a discussion concerning the ongoing bilateral collaboration in the area of cybersecurity during their meeting on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit in Paris on Tuesday.

In their inaugural meeting, both leaders emphasized that the cordial and amicable relations between India and Estonia are grounded in the two nations' mutual dedication to democracy, rule of law, and the principles of freedom and pluralism.

As stated in a release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) following their discussions, the leaders expressed contentment regarding the expanding bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors, including trade and investment, IT and digital, culture, tourism, and people-to-people connections.

Prime Minister Modi extended an invitation for the Estonian government and businesses to investigate the opportunities presented by India's growth narrative and to leverage initiatives like Digital India.

“The two leaders acknowledged the significance of the India-Estonia alliance, particularly regarding the India-EU strategic partnership. They welcomed the commencement of ministerial exchanges in the India-Nordic-Baltic format. Additionally, they shared insights on regional and global matters of common interest and collaboration within the United Nations,” the statement elaborated.

Both PM Modi and the Estonian President expressed their satisfaction with the increasing cultural and people-to-people interactions between their nations.

“In this context, the PM praised the growing popularity of Yoga in Estonia,” noted the PMO.

Earlier, while co-chairing the AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, PM Modi highlighted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently shaping the codes of humanity in this era, and its potential to transform millions of lives is truly remarkable.

“AI is already redefining our political, economic, security, and even social landscapes. AI is scripting the narrative for humanity in this century,” the Prime Minister remarked while addressing an assembly of global leaders and leading tech CEOs.
