Truck Collision Claims Lives of Seven, Injures Six in Philippines
Manila, Dec 5 (NationPress) A tragic truck accident occurred in Cotabato province, Philippines on Thursday, where a truck collided with both individuals and vehicles, resulting in the deaths of at least seven individuals and injuring six others, as reported by law enforcement officials.
According to Police Chief Master Sergeant Richie Desulga, the incident took place in the morning on a highway in Makilala town, when a truck transporting sacks of fertilizer lost control and crashed into pedestrians, other vehicles, and a nearby house, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
Social media footage depicted victims trapped beneath the fallen sacks of fertilizer from the truck.
Desulga also mentioned that the injured individuals were promptly transported to a local medical facility.
