New Delhi, Feb 11 (NationPress) IndiaAI, in partnership with Intel India, is gearing up to set an official Guinness World Record for the greatest number of pledges collected for an AI responsibility initiative within 24 hours on February 16–17.

This extensive ‘AI Responsibility’ Pledge aims to create a significant citizen-driven movement that promotes the ethical, responsible, and human-centered application of Artificial Intelligence, while fostering awareness, trust, and accountability in emerging technologies, as stated in an official announcement made on Wednesday.

The goal of this initiative is to enhance AI readiness and advocate for the responsible usage of AI throughout India. Positioned as a major effort towards fostering responsible digital citizenship, it underscores India’s dedication to ethical and inclusive AI. Through a nationwide digital pledge lasting 24 hours, citizens from diverse regions, age brackets, and backgrounds—especially the youth—are invited to champion trustworthy AI, data privacy, responsible technology usage, and combat misinformation, the statement elaborated.

Participants will be honored with a badge from IndiaAI and Intel, along with the chance to delve into various government-led AI educational pathways.

The AI responsibility pledge is open to a broad audience, including students of all ages, educators and academic leaders, parents, regular citizens from varied backgrounds, government officials, public sector representatives, and professionals across industries.

India will also host the India AI Impact Summit from February 16-20 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI Mission, the summit aims to gather governments, industry leaders, researchers, startups, students, and citizens globally. It is envisioned as a pivotal platform to shape a future-oriented agenda for inclusive, responsible, and impactful AI, aiming to move beyond high-level discussions and achieve tangible outcomes that support economic growth, social development, and sustainable AI usage.

The Summit will focus on three core pillars—People, Planet, and Progress—with discussions covering employment and skills development, sustainable and energy-efficient AI, and economic and social advancement. Seven thematic working groups, co-chaired by representatives from both the Global North and Global South, will offer concrete deliverables, proposing ideas for AI Commons, trusted AI tools, shared compute infrastructure, and sector-specific compendiums of AI use cases.

Participants will also gain insights into how AI is transforming various professions and industries, the new skills necessary in the evolving job market, opportunities for startups to connect with investors and partners, and the role of AI in supporting farmers, small businesses, and service providers.

With over 700 sessions planned over five days, participants should organize their schedules by reviewing the agenda on the website, selecting sessions that align with their interests, and adding them to their calendars.
