Bhopal, May 29 (NationPress) The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal celebrated World Medicine Emergency Day by unveiling a revolutionary mobile application named 'Code Emergency' on Thursday, as reported by officials.
The app was introduced by the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Ajai Singh, during a special event that showcased its features and advantages for both healthcare professionals and the general public.
This innovative application aligns with AIIMS Bhopal's 'One State One Health One Emergency' initiative launched by the Madhya Pradesh government last year.
Ajai Singh emphasized that a key aspect of this app is its comprehensive design—catering not just to healthcare professionals but also to everyday users.
He mentioned that the app is accessible in both Hindi and English and operates seamlessly even without an internet connection once it has been downloaded.
"The app equips users with audio-visual instructions to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and potentially save lives in any situation. It provides age-appropriate guidance for all age groups," Singh noted.
Moreover, the app includes a dropdown menu based on the 'One State One Health One Emergency' framework, offering quick access to essential information on various emergencies and medical scenarios.
He added that the app will soon be available for free download on the Google Play Store.
"This application is anticipated to be immensely beneficial not only for the general public but also as a groundbreaking tool for doctors and healthcare providers," he remarked.
On this occasion, AIIMS Bhopal also conducted a CPR and First Aid training session for media representatives.
During this one-day training, journalists received practical guidance on executing CPR.
"An awareness campaign regarding this app should be initiated to ensure that more individuals are informed and can take advantage of it," Singh concluded.
