Srinagar, April 8 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday urged security forces to entirely eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and establish enduring peace.
While presiding over a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar, the Union Home Minister stated, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union government is dedicated to creating lasting peace in J&K and fully eradicating terrorism.”
During the session, the Union Home Minister praised the security agencies for their significant achievements in reducing terror-related incidents, infiltration, and the recruitment of youth into terrorist groups.
He reaffirmed the zero tolerance policy towards terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
He mentioned, “Thanks to the persistent and coordinated efforts of the Modi government, the entire terror ecosystem fostered by hostile elements in Jammu and Kashmir has been severely weakened.”
Amit Shah instructed all security agencies to maintain their efforts with a collaborative approach to completely eliminate terrorism in J&K.
He also emphasized the importance of executing the Area Domination Plan and Zero Terror Plan in a mission-driven manner.
The Home Minister stated that all agencies must work in a coordinated fashion to sustain the progress made following the abrogation of Article 370 and to achieve the goal of a terror-free J&K as soon as possible.
He assured that the Modi government is providing all necessary resources to accomplish this objective.
The Union Home Minister also assessed the preparations for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra, which is set to take place from July 3 to August 9 this year, and directed relevant agencies to ensure the peaceful conduct of the holy pilgrimage.
