Amaravati, April 23 (NationPress) More than 81% of the students who sat for the 10th class examination in Andhra Pradesh have successfully passed.

Out of 614,459 candidates who took the test administered by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) last month, 498,585 achieved a pass rate of 81.14%.

Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams on Wednesday.

Girls surpassed boys with a pass percentage of 84.09%, while 78.31% of boys passed. The overall pass percentage for girls was 5.78% percentage points higher than that for boys.

A total of 1,680 schools recorded a 100% pass rate, while 19 schools reported a 0% pass rate.

Lokesh expressed joy that Parvathipuram Manyam district achieved the highest pass percentage in the state at 93.90%, whereas Alluri Sitharama Raju district had the lowest at 47.64%.

Andhra Pradesh Residential schools secured the highest pass percentage at 95.02%.

BSEAP reported that 65.36% of the candidates achieved first division, 10.69% secured second division, and 5.09% obtained third division.

Among English-medium students, the pass percentage was 83.19%, while it was 58.59% for Telugu-medium students. All 15 students who opted for Hindi medium successfully passed, and the pass percentage for Urdu medium students was 70.71%.

A review of performance trends from 2015 to 2025 indicates consistent pass rates above 90% until 2019, with 100% rates in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic policies. The lowest pass rate recorded was 67.26% in 2022, followed by a recovery to 81.14% in 2025.

BSEAP announced that the SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations are scheduled from May 19 to May 28. Examination fee payments can be made online at www.bse.ap.gov.in from April 24 to April 30 without a late fee, and from May 1 to May 18 with a late fee of Rs 50.

Candidates wishing to apply for recounting or re-verification of answer scripts can do so online from April 24 to May 1. The fee for recounting is Rs 500 per subject, while re-verification costs Rs 1,000 per subject.
