Hyderabad, April 30 (NationPress) Girls have once again surpassed boys in the 10th class examinations in Telangana, with results announced on Wednesday.
A total of 4,96,374 regular students appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public examinations held in March-April, achieving a remarkable 92.78 per cent overall pass rate.
The girls achieved a pass percentage of 94.26, which is 2.94 points higher than the boys' pass percentage of 91.32.
In total, 5,07,107 students participated in the exams from March 21 to April 3 at various centers statewide, including 10,733 private candidates.
The pass rate for private candidates was 57.22 per cent. Among them, girls had a pass percentage of 61.70, while boys scored 55.14.
According to the Director of School Education, Narasimha Reddy, the overall pass percentage rose from 91.31 per cent in 2024 to 92.78 per cent in 2025.
The Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the SSC results alongside Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikarmarka, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and Secretary of Education, Yogita Rana.
Notably, 4,629 schools achieved a perfect pass rate, while two private schools recorded a zero pass percentage.
The advanced supplementary examinations are scheduled for June 3 to 13.
Among the 33 districts, Mahabubabad led with a 99.29 pass percentage, followed by Sangareddy at 99.09 and Jangaon at 98.81. Vikarabad had the lowest pass percentage at 73.97. Hyderabad remained at the 30th position with a pass percentage of 88.53.
Among different school categories, Gurukul schools led with a pass rate of 98.79. The BC Welfare schools recorded 97.99 while Social Welfare residential schools had 97.71 passing students. Tribal welfare schools scored 97.63 and minority residential schools achieved 96.57.
