Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Telangana's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10 results, declared on Wednesday, 29 April, show girls outperforming boys for another consecutive year, with the overall regular candidate pass percentage climbing to 95.15% — up from 92.78% in 2024. The results were officially released by Dr K. Keshava Rao, Advisor to the Government, in Hyderabad.
Overall Pass Percentage and Gender Gap
Of the 5,16,815 regular students who appeared in the examinations conducted across March-April 2025, a total of 4,91,774 cleared the exam, according to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Telangana. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 96.26%, outpacing boys at 94.07% — a gap of more than 2 percentage points. Last year, girls had passed at 94.26% and boys at 91.32%, indicating improvement across both groups.
District-Wise Performance
Mulugu district topped the state with a pass percentage of 99.30%, followed by Nagarkurnool at 99.03% and Nirmal at 98.96%. At the other end of the spectrum, Hyderabad finished last among the 33 districts with 89.23% of students clearing the exam — a gap of over 10 percentage points compared to the top-performing district.
What Officials Said
The results were released in the presence of Yogita Rana, Education Secretary, and E. Naveen Nicolas, Director of School Education. Danasari Seethakka, Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, and Women and Child Welfare, expressed delight over Mulugu's top ranking and conveyed congratulations to the district administration, education department officials, teachers, and students.
Exam Format and How to Check Results
The exams were conducted at 2,676 centres across Telangana. Notably, the BSE provided a gap of four to five days between each paper — on par with CBSE and other boards — a move that reportedly drew appreciation from students and parents alike. Students can access their results on the official website bse.telangana.gov. Alternatively, results are available via WhatsApp by sending Hi to 8096958096 and following the prompts with their hall ticket number.
With pass rates rising across both gender groups and most districts, attention now turns to whether Telangana can address the persistent urban-rural performance divide — most starkly visible in Hyderabad's last-place finish among all 33 districts.
