Andhra Pradesh Class 10 Results 2026: 85.25% Pass, Girls Outshine Boys
The Andhra Pradesh Class 10 (Secondary School Certificate) results for 2026 were declared on Thursday, 30 April, with the overall pass percentage rising to 85.25% from 81.14% in the previous year — a gain of more than four percentage points. The results were announced by Nara Lokesh, Minister for Human Resources Development and Information Technology, via social media.
Girls Outperform Boys
Gender-wise, girls recorded a pass percentage of 87.90%, comfortably ahead of boys at 82.68%. More than six lakh students appeared for the board examinations, which were conducted across the state from 16 March to 1 April 2026. The consistent outperformance of girls in state board exams continues a broader national trend seen in recent years.
Government Schools Show Significant Gains
Government-managed schools recorded a notable improvement, with their pass percentage climbing to 78.39% from 72.8% last year. This improvement of nearly six percentage points in a single year is among the more striking findings of this year's results, suggesting that state-run institutions are beginning to close the gap with private schools.
District-Wise Performance
Parvathipuram Manyam district topped the state with a pass percentage of 96.07%, while Alluri Sitharamaraju district recorded the lowest at 57.12% — a gap of nearly 39 percentage points that underscores persistent regional disparities in educational outcomes across Andhra Pradesh. Addressing this divide is likely to be a key challenge for the state's education administration in the coming academic year.
