Amaravati, April 15 (NationPress) The results of the Intermediate Public Examination conducted in Andhra Pradesh were revealed on Wednesday, showcasing that girl students excelled over boys in both the first and second-year exams.
In the Intermediate First Year (class 11) exams, 77 percent of candidates successfully passed, marking the highest rate in the last 12 years. Meanwhile, 81 percent of students cleared the Second Year (class 12) exams, representing the second-highest performance in the past decade.
A total of 9,18,401 students participated in the IPE first and second-year exams conducted between February 23 and March 25.
Officials reported that 4,71,864 students took the first-year exam, with 3,61,526 (or 77%) achieving passing marks. The success rate for girls was 81 percent, while boys had a pass rate of 72 percent.
In the second-year exams, 4,46,537 candidates participated, with 3,59,816 (or 81%) successfully qualifying. The pass percentage for girls was 85 percent, in contrast to boys, who had a 76 percent success rate.
Education Minister Nara Lokesh shared on ‘X’ that the improvements were particularly significant in Government and Government-managed institutions.
“In Government Junior Colleges (GJCs), the pass percentage for first-year students is 54 percent, the highest in 12 years. For the second year, the pass percentage is 68 percent, the second-highest performance in the same period,” he noted.
“This accomplishment is a reflection of the dedication of students, principals, junior lecturers, and the collective efforts of all involved in achieving academic excellence,” added the minister.
“To those who faced challenges this time, don't be disheartened. View this as a stepping stone, continue to strive, and return stronger. I urge parents, colleges, and society to provide moral support to students during this crucial time. I wish all students the best in their future endeavors. May you keep learning, growing, and succeeding,” he emphasized.
Students can access their results online at https://resultsbie.ap.gov.in. Additionally, results are available through a WhatsApp message by sending a "Hi" to the Mana Mitra number at 9552300009.
The Board of Intermediate Education also announced that candidates may apply for recounting or re-verification from April 20 to April 27.
Advanced supplementary exams are scheduled from May 21 to June 4, with practical exams taking place at district headquarters from June 7 to June 11.
