Chennai, May 13 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu has achieved an outstanding 99.86% pass rate in the CBSE Class 10 examinations, with the results announced on Tuesday.
This represents a slight increase from last year's 99.84%, further solidifying the state's commitment to academic excellence at the secondary education level.
Data released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) indicates that 1,03,259 students from Tamil Nadu participated in the Class 10 exams this year, consisting of 56,008 boys and 47,251 girls.
Among these students, girls excelled with a remarkable pass rate of 99.9%, while boys achieved an admirable 99.8%. Nationally, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was recorded at 93.6%.
However, the Chennai region, which includes Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, reported a pass rate of 98.71%. This is a decline from last year's 99.3%, placing the region fourth in the country this year.
