Guwahati, May 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, commended the detailed briefings conducted by senior military officials in the national capital concerning the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, as well as the impactful strikes executed by Indian forces that inflicted significant damage on Pakistan.
He stated, "The briefings from our DGOMs are rigorous, unapologetically professional, and brutally honest. They encountered challenging inquiries without hesitation and clarified one critical point: the Indian Armed Forces have successfully struck Pakistan deep within its territory, showcasing precision and determination," he shared on X.
"Our Integrated Air Defence System represents more than just a protective measure — it symbolizes India’s technological supremacy and military prowess. From the skies to the ground, India now establishes the rules of engagement. This is not mere propaganda. This embodies the new India — driven by strategy, fueled by strength, and supported by facts," he added.
On the same day, the Indian Army released a compelling video compilation titled 'Destroy the Enemy in the Sky' during a high-level briefing with top defense officials.
This video highlighted coordinated operations involving the Army, Navy, and Air Force as part of the recently completed Operation Sindoor.
A notable segment of the footage included a still collage depicting what is believed to be the debris of enemy military equipment.
One striking image was prominently captioned: "The Pakistani Mirage... Shattered", emphasizing the confirmed downing of a Pakistani fighter jet during the operation.
At a high-level joint press conference in New Delhi, senior officials from the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy provided a comprehensive overview of the operation.
The briefing was led by Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), Air Vice Marshal AK Bharti, Director General Air Operations, and Vice Admiral AN Pramod, Director General of Naval Operations.
During the media briefing, Air Vice Marshal Bharti underscored the impressive performance of India’s indigenous air defense infrastructure throughout the conflict.
"Our battle-tested systems withstood challenges and confronted adversaries directly. A significant highlight has been the exceptional performance of our indigenous air defense system, the Akash. The creation and operationalization of a robust air defense environment has been made possible due to the governmental budgetary and policy support over the last decade," he stated.
