Atishi Breaks Down During Press Briefing, Accuses Ramesh Bidhuri of Attacking Her Father

New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) With tears streaming down her face, an emotionally shaken Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Monday criticized BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri from the Kalkaji constituency for sinking to such depths as to target her 80-year-old father, an educationist.

“He is resorting to personal attacks on my father to garner votes instead of focusing on his own track record in this constituency,” Atishi claimed, expressing that the insults directed at her father are profoundly distressing.

Atishi’s remarks regarding Bidhuri came during a press briefing where she accused him of being involved in a “voter scam” masked by the manipulation of voters' names in the New Delhi Assembly, led by Arvind Kejriwal.

At a recent rally in Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri remarked, "Atishi has changed her father. She used to be Marlena, but now she is Singh. Her parents had submitted a petition requesting clemency for Afzal Guru, who was responsible for the deaths of young individuals."

Regarding the alleged “voter scam,” CM Atishi stated she wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner on Sunday, requesting a meeting to discuss the details of the purported “voter scam” aimed at undermining democracy.

“From October 29 to January 2, there have been applications to delete 6,167 voter names,” she pointed out, asserting that 11 objectors out of 84 have denied submitting any applications for the deletion of voter names.

“The actions of the Election Commission’s administration also raise suspicions,” she remarked, alleging that about 10,000 new voters, equating to 10 percent of the total voters, have been added to the electoral rolls, while 6,167 names, or 5.7 percent, have been removed.

She insisted that an investigation should be carried out to ascertain who submitted these forms, especially since 11 objectors are denying their involvement.

“We demand that the processes of addition and deletion be halted until we can determine who submitted Form 7 and from which cyber cafe it originated,” she stated.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh also stated that his wife Anita’s name was unlawfully removed and accused the BJP, which he claims has already accepted defeat before the elections, of engaging in “manipulation” and harboring “bogus or ghost objectors.”

“I call for action against the election officials who are permitting these misconducts,” he declared, noting that a woman named Madhu, identified by election officials as the objector in the case of his wife’s name deletion, has denied filing even a single Form 7.
