New Delhi, Sep 15 (NationPress) The stage is set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forthcoming visit to the politically significant state of Bihar on Monday. With numerous high-profile projects slated for inauguration in Purnea, Union Minister Chirag Paswan commended the Modi administration's dedication to advancing Bihar's development. He asserted that each visit by the Prime Minister to the state brings valuable benefits. Furthermore, he criticized those who perceive political motives behind Modi's trips.
With major events planned in both Patna and Purnea, posters and banners welcoming the Prime Minister adorn various city locations, while stringent security and logistical measures are being implemented in anticipation of his arrival.
Chirag Paswan, prior to the Prime Minister's visit to Purnea, took aim at the Opposition while applauding PM Modi’s unwavering commitment to development in Bihar.
“The Opposition may engage in political games, but the reality is that Bihar has been equipped with two AIIMS hospitals, and today, following the inauguration of Patna Airport, we celebrate the opening of Purnea Airport. Each visit by the Prime Minister to Bihar brings gifts worth crores,” Paswan stated.
In a similar vein, BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain remarked, “PM Modi will inaugurate Bihar’s fourth airport in Purnea. The public is elated. The expressway construction between Patna and Purnea is underway. PM Modi is not just launching one project; a series of development initiatives are being introduced. Bihar stands firmly with PM Modi.”
During his visit, PM Modi will unveil the newly constructed interim terminal building of Purnea Airport, marking a significant advancement in Bihar's aviation capabilities. This development will make Purnea the fourth airport in the state.
The airport is anticipated to enhance regional connectivity, facilitate travel for northeastern Bihar, and stimulate trade, tourism, and job opportunities in the area.
In addition to the airport, PM Modi will also inaugurate the National Makhana Board, aimed at enhancing makhana production and market access for farmers across Bihar, particularly in districts such as Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Purnea. He will also lay the foundation for the Pirpainti thermal power plant in Bhagalpur, valued at Rs 25,000 crore, alongside the Kosi-Mechi river interlinking project, which is expected to bolster irrigation and flood management.
His itinerary also includes the launch of various railway projects, the inauguration of new trains, and the distribution of Rs 500 crore in Community Investment Funds under the DAY-NRLM scheme to women-led federations. This visit is perceived as a strategic boost for regional development.
