Patna, Sep 24 (NationPress) After the Congress Working Committee (CWC) gathering at the historic Sadaqat Ashram in Patna, former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot, stated that the inhabitants of Bihar are yearning for a shift in governance, criticizing the current NDA administration for its total failure in managing key governance matters.
“During the CWC discussions, we addressed several pressing concerns, including the dire flood situation in Bihar, where the existing government has utterly faltered. The law and order situation has deteriorated, criminal activities are on the rise, examination papers are being leaked, and the government is using force against the youth demanding employment,” Pilot remarked.
He also accused the NDA coalition of rampant corruption.
“Numerous corruption allegations have been made against NDA leaders and ministers. Curiously, BJP leaders are revealing issues about JD(U) leaders, while JD(U) leaders are doing the same about BJP leaders. The populace of Bihar is tired of this and is calling for a change in governance,” he added.
Pilot confirmed that the Grand Alliance (INDIA Bloc) intends to contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections with full vigor, energized by the support from the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' led by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, along with Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD.
Emphasizing the Congress’ robust presence in Bihar, Pilot stated, “The ideals, thoughts, and members of the Congress Party are present in every village, lane, and city.
“While we might not always be in power, our supporters are ubiquitous. We are entering this election not solely for power, but to dismantle the double-engine government that has failed on all counts.
“With unemployment, poverty, and migration rates soaring in Bihar, we are committed to changing this system.”
The CWC meeting was led by Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress National President, and included notable leaders such as LoP Gandhi, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, and the Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana.
