BJP Asserts AAP-Congress Discord Signals the Demise of the 'INDI' Alliance

Gurugram, Dec 26 (NationPress) After the Aam Aadmi Party declared its intention to seek the removal of Congress from the INDIA coalition unless action was taken against senior leader Ajay Maken for branding former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as 'anti-national', BJP spokesperson Gourav Vallabh asserted on Thursday that the INDIA alliance is on the verge of disintegration.

His remarks followed AAP's demand for Congress to act against Maken, who had accused Kejriwal of being 'anti-national'.

Vallabh, in a conversation with IANS, highlighted the evolving relationship between Kejriwal and Congress.

"A few months ago, Kejriwal sought Congress' support, and now Congress is branding him a fraud. The INDIA bloc has turned into the 'End' alliance -- and honestly, it’s finished," he stated to IANS.

He further claimed that despite having governed Delhi for over two decades, both Kejriwal and Congress have neglected the city's development requirements.

"The residents of Delhi are fed up with this liquor-loving party and Congress, which has lost its political significance," he remarked, referring to Congress' lackluster performance in the Municipal Corporation elections.

Vallabh's comments came after Maken criticized Kejriwal on Wednesday. During a press briefing, Maken issued a white paper titled "Mauka Mauka, Har Baar Dhoka," accusing Kejriwal of being a 'fraud' and failing to fulfill crucial promises like the establishment of an anti-corruption ombudsman.

Maken's strong statements further exacerbated the AAP-Congress rivalry.

In retaliation, AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Atishi on Thursday urged immediate action against Maken. Singh condemned Maken's remarks, accusing him of overreaching by calling Kejriwal 'anti-national', and alleged that Congress was cooperating with BJP in a planned assault against AAP. He even claimed that Congress was receiving funding and candidate lists from the BJP office, further undermining the unity of the INDIA bloc.

With Delhi Assembly elections anticipated early next year, Vallabh forecasted a decisive victory for BJP in the national capital. As the political saga continues, the future of the INDIA bloc appears precarious, with AAP and Congress entrenched in a growing exchange of hostilities.
