He emphasized that elections for the Legislative Council, Zilla Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat, and other local bodies are on the horizon, labeling the next six months as an “election season” for the party.
In this regard, comprehensive discussions will focus on fortifying the party's structure and gearing up for upcoming electoral challenges.
Vijayendra criticized the Congress-led government, which is nearing its third year in power, claiming it has not fulfilled public expectations and that citizens are becoming disenchanted with its governance.
He stated that strategies to combat what he labeled as a corrupt, anti-poor, anti-farmer, and anti-youth government will be discussed, with resolutions to be passed during the executive meeting.
Additionally, he mentioned that farmer leader and former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has celebrated 50 years in public service. He acknowledged Yediyurappa's significant role in extending the BJP's reach from urban to rural areas in Karnataka, dating back to his early involvement with the Jana Sangh.
In recognition of his contributions, Yediyurappa will be honored at the meeting amid senior party leaders.
Vijayendra referred to Yediyurappa as a motivational figure for party members, highlighting the contributions of senior leaders, including the late Ananth Kumar, in solidifying the BJP's presence in the state.
The executive meeting will also deliberate on the future direction of the party's organizational strategies.
