New Delhi, Sep 15 (NationPress) In anticipation of the upcoming grand ‘Seva Pakhwada’ event commencing on September 17, a number of Union Ministers and BJP leaders took to X on Monday to reflect on their personal ‘Modi Story’ moments and shared various anecdotes and experiences with the Prime Minister.
Using the hashtag ‘#MyModiStory’, these ministers, party leaders, and functionaries are recounting their unforgettable interactions with PM Modi, showcasing their first-hand encounters and revealing his amiable nature.
PC Mohan, a four-time BJP Lok Sabha MP from Bengaluru Central, reminisced about his 2008 encounter with PM Modi at a BJP national executive meeting and how, years later in 2014, PM Modi recognized him as an ‘old friend’.
“A rare leader whose sharp memory is complemented by his human touch,” he remarked while reflecting on his experiences with Narendra Modi before and after he became Prime Minister in 2014.
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari shared his experiences of welcoming the Prime Minister in his hometown, Indore, recalling how he was both anxious and pleasantly surprised during their first meeting.
“We felt nervous about meeting the Prime Minister of India, a global leader. But as soon as we entered the room, our anxiety faded away. It felt less like an official meeting and more like reuniting with someone we had known forever,” he recounted in a video.
He added that PM Modi has a unique ability to make everyone feel at ease in his presence. He humorously recalled how his family erupted in laughter when PM Modi joked about his constant travels, saying, “Your legs never stay at home.”
“I consider myself lucky, as does my family, to have met him and to have received not just his blessings but his infectious energy, which continues to inspire me to this day,” he stated in a post on X.
Tuhin Sinha, a BJP national spokesperson, reflected on a ‘Diwali Milan’ gathering addressed by PM Modi, which left a lasting impression on everyone present.
He described how after delivering a profound 40-minute speech, the Prime Minister made it a point to greet each attendee, including journalists, party workers, and media team members, taking time to share a word, a smile, or a simple “Happy Diwali.”
In an emotional post, he wrote, “What struck me that night the most was this – in a world where many rush through crowds, here was the Prime Minister of India moving slowly, deliberately, ensuring no hand was left unshaken, no greeting unsaid. That evening, the festival’s spirit was not in the lights or sweets, but in his gesture of seeing and respecting every individual. It spoke of values rooted deep, of an upbringing that cherished humility, and of a leader who remains humane amidst power.”
Sunil Deodhar, a former BJP national secretary, recalled a phone call with PM Modi on his birthday in 2013, where Modi’s humorous response lifted his spirits.
Deodhar mentioned that it has been his tradition over the years to seek blessings from seniors on his birthday. In 2013, he called PM Modi and said, “I know you do not like celebrating your birthdays, but I do, and I am calling to seek your blessings.”
To his surprise, PM Modi responded, “What was the hurry for you to be born on 29th September? Can’t you wait for two more days so the whole world could celebrate it?”
“Moments like this illustrate why Narendra Modi ji is so significant. It’s not about grand gestures, but the warmth, humor, and care he brings into people’s lives. That birthday memory is something I will always treasure,” he concluded.
