Patna, Dec 7 (NationPress) The BJP continues its vigorous criticism of Tejashwi Yadav, targeting the RJD leader for attributing the Mahagathbandhan's defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections to "invisible forces". The party accused him of imitating Rahul Gandhi following his loss, particularly highlighting his recent trip to Europe with family shortly after the election results were announced.
BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok dismissed Tejashwi’s claims about "invisible forces" and mocked his absence from the Assembly during the Winter Session.
“He claimed that invisible forces led to his defeat, yet he himself became invisible and resurfaced in Europe,” Ajay Alok quipped.
“He (Tejashwi Yadav) is celebrating Christmas in Europe. It seems he has developed a fondness for the holiday season. Let him enjoy his vacation,” he added with a sarcastic tone.
Shahnawaz Hussain also criticized the RJD leader, suggesting that under his leadership, the Mahagathbandhan's attempts to unseat the Nitish government failed miserably, and he is unfit for the role of Leader of the Opposition (LoP).
“Tejashwi Yadav should acknowledge the winners instead of making excuses. There is growing resentment against him, both from his family and the public, who are blaming EVMs. He needs to take notes from Bihar’s revered leaders, like Karpoori Thakur and Sushil Modi, instead of merely copying Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
Shahnawaz pointed out that Tejashwi is following in Rahul Gandhi's footsteps, sporting T-shirts and even avoiding the Assembly during the Bihar Governor's address.
“After his electoral defeat, he should have remained in Bihar to assess the situation, but just like Rahul Gandhi, he chose to go abroad,” he remarked.
The BJP spokesperson further dismissed Tejashwi’s claims of electoral malpractice, insisting that a significant portion of the electorate, including women and youth, supported the Mahagathbandhan and labeled the RJD leader's assertions about election manipulation as contrived.
“Tejashwi Yadav was positioned as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the grand alliance, but the electorate feared a return to 'Jungle Raj Part 2' with him at the helm, leading to their rejection of the Mahagathbandhan, resulting in its poorest performance. Voters recognized their hollow promises versus our diligent efforts, culminating in the NDA's clear victory,” the BJP leader elucidated.
