New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) As the Maha Kumbh 2025 kicked off on Monday, businesses from various sectors are eager to leverage a remarkable opportunity to connect with at least 45 crore individuals, and are anticipated to invest thousands of crores in advertising campaigns and ground activities.

From January 13 to February 26, this global spiritual gathering provides brands, particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), automotive, and electronics industries, with an unparalleled chance to engage millions of consumers.

As per industry projections, brands are expected to allocate around ₹1,800-₹2,000 crore for advertising initiatives across different platforms, employing artificial intelligence (AI)-based themes, LED outdoor displays, virtual assistants, and mobile applications.

The grand event features luxurious tents priced at up to ₹1 lakh per night, alongside budget accommodations.

According to estimates from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), this event is anticipated to generate around ₹1.2 lakh crore in revenue for Uttar Pradesh.

Other industry analyses suggest that the Maha Kumbh is poised to create over ₹4 lakh crore in trade, potentially boosting both nominal and real GDP by more than 1 percent.

Government figures indicate that the Maha Kumbh could yield ₹2 lakh crore in trade if each of the 40 crore visitors spends an average of ₹5,000.

Moreover, industry predictions suggest that the average spending per individual might even reach ₹10,000 during this mega event, leading to a total economic impact of about ₹4 lakh crore.

Companies from both India and abroad are vying for space to showcase their offerings during this 45-day event.

The public sector giant Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has provided around 45,000 tonnes of steel for the construction of various infrastructures at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.

Prayagraj has undergone significant renovations in preparation for this major gathering of followers of Sanatan Dharma. Over 200 roads have been constructed and upgraded to ensure smooth connectivity for the millions of devotees expected to attend this grand spiritual event. The roads have been enhanced with over three lakh plants and one lakh horticultural saplings, improving their aesthetic appeal.

To ensure the safety of the countless devotees along the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, particularly in the Sangam region, the Uttar Pradesh government has deployed a substantial force of Water Police personnel equipped with cutting-edge technology.
