Key Political Figures Rally in Bengal Ahead of Elections

Kolkata, April 11 (NationPress) As West Bengal approaches its significant two-phase Assembly elections later this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are set to hold three campaign rallies each across the state on Saturday. In contrast, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be conducting four rallies throughout the day.
According to the updated agenda from the BJP's West Bengal unit, the Prime Minister's first rally is scheduled for 11:30 A.M. at the Purbasthali (Dakshin) Assembly constituency in the East Burdwan district.
Simultaneously, a rally led by Union Home Minister Shah will take place at Onda in Bankura district at the same time, 11:30 A.M.
At 12:55 P.M., the Prime Minister will speak at another rally in Jangipur, located in the minority-majority Murshidabad district, followed by another event at a strategic point between North Dinajpur and South Dinajpur at 3:45 P.M.
Meanwhile, the Union Home Minister will also be addressing two additional rallies: one at Chhatna in Bankura district at 12:55 P.M. and another at Baghmundi in Purulia district at 3:35 P.M.
On her part, Chief Minister Banerjee will address four rallies consecutively at Kehisari in West Midnapore district, Gopiballavpur and Jhargram town in the Jhargram district, and Barjora in Bankura district.
On the previous day, the Union Home Minister unveiled the BJP’s 'Sankalp Patra (Election Manifesto)' in Kolkata for the upcoming two-phase Assembly elections, emphasizing priorities such as zero tolerance towards infiltration, establishing a transparent and corruption-free recruitment process, fostering economic growth, and promoting women’s empowerment.
In response, Trinamool Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha member Abhishek Banerjee likened the BJP's manifesto promises to the unrealistic returns often promised by chit funds or Ponzi schemes.
