Ahmedabad, Aug 1 (NationPress) The Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) has launched the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (Organisation Creation Campaign) statewide, aligning with the All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) initiative to celebrate 2025 as the 'Year of Organisation.'

Gujarat is being used as a model state for this ambitious project, aiming to rejuvenate the party's foundation from the grassroots level. GPCC President Amit Chavda remarked that the Congress is devoted to representing the interests of the youth, women, tribal communities, and the marginalized—not only in Gujarat but throughout the nation.

“From the streets to the Parliament, the Congress will be the voice of the people,” he declared.

He underscored that the party's ideology is inclusive, focusing on the welfare of all societal segments, irrespective of caste, religion, or class.

During this campaign, from August 2 to August 10, AICC-appointed observers will travel to each taluka, municipality, and municipal corporation ward across Gujarat to engage with grassroots workers and appoint new local leaders.

This initiative comes on the heels of a recent appointment of 41 city and district Congress presidents through a systematic selection process.

“We will prioritize young, educated, and ideologically driven individuals,” Chavda highlighted, emphasizing a preference for leaders under 55 years and the rotation of long-serving office bearers to introduce new faces.

After each observer's visit, reports will be submitted to the state leadership to finalize appointments by the end of August.

The party is also gearing up for statewide protests in the upcoming weeks. Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat Assembly, Tushar Chaudhary, criticized the BJP government for allegedly failing tribal communities, particularly concerning the Tapi River Link Project.

He confirmed that protest programs are being organized to hold the government accountable.

Chavda reiterated Congress's dedication to constitutional values, social justice, and inclusive governance.

“Congress belongs to everyone, and we invite those who share our ideology to join this movement,” he affirmed.
