New Delhi, April 7 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain stated on Monday that the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ padyatra in Bihar’s Begusarai will be inconsequential.

“Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ padyatra in Bihar will not yield any results. The migration issue in Bihar began during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s administration, with Congress as a key player in his government. Congress cannot deny this history. Rahul Gandhi is also visiting the state because he lacks support from Tejashwi Yadav. In the previous elections, Tejashwi allocated 70 seats to Congress, but they ended up losing 50-60 of them. The purpose of Rahul Gandhi’s tour is merely to apply pressure on Tejashwi,” the BJP spokesperson asserted.

He went on to state that Begusarai has experienced substantial growth, and urged Rahul Gandhi to acknowledge the state’s advancements.

“Begusarai has seen remarkable development in Bihar under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The area is home to numerous factories, especially in the food sector. He should witness the progress in the refinery, the establishment of an ethanol plant, and the construction of a plastic park. A visit to Simaria Ghat would demonstrate the progress,” he claimed.

The BJP spokesperson suggested that following losses in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Delhi, Rahul Gandhi is in Bihar out of concern that Congress may not secure a single seat, prompting his padyatra.

Shahnawaz Hussain also criticized Congress for its internal conflicts, asserting that Rahul Gandhi’s tour is an attempt to pressure the RJD.

“Congress is unwilling to accept Tejashwi Yadav as its leader, causing confusion among Congress leaders. Even Congress-supported Pappu Yadav is part of this uncertainty. Congress must clarify its position on whether it will compete under Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership, run independently, or form an alliance. Rahul Gandhi’s visit appears more focused on influencing his own coalition than engaging with the public,” he added.

On Monday, Rahul Gandhi participated in the ongoing ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ padyatra in Bihar’s Begusarai district, accompanied by NSUI national in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar. The padyatra featured participants wearing white T-shirts and waving party flags.

A significant number of Congress workers gathered near Subhash Chowk in Begusarai town to greet Rahul Gandhi.

Just a day prior, Rahul Gandhi appealed to the youth to join the ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ yatra, encouraging them to work towards unseating the NDA government.
