Gurugram, Feb 25 (NationPress) In a disturbing occurrence, the bodies of a man and woman, both with multiple bullet wounds, were discovered in a hotel room along the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway on Tuesday, according to police reports.
The victims have been identified as Komal (21), who lived in Shikohpur village of Gurugram, and Nikhil (23), a resident of Lokri village in the Pataudi region.
Initial investigations indicate that this incident might be a case of suicide.
The police were alerted to the presence of the bodies in a hotel room in Manesar and have sent them for a post-mortem examination.
Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) personnel from the Gurugram Police were informed that Komal, who had gone to sit for an examination, did not return home by night.
Upon receiving this information, the ERV team arrived at the location, where they found Komal's family members also present.
The ERV team quickly notified the Manesar Police Station regarding the situation. Meanwhile, hotel staff confirmed that a man and woman were registered in room number 303 on the second floor.
The ERV team, along with the police and hotel staff, discovered both victims lying lifeless on the bed in the locked room 303.
According to Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the Gurugram Police, 'Both individuals had a bullet wound in their chest, and a country-made pistol of 315 bore was recovered from the room. The police have summoned a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), along with a dog squad and fingerprint specialists to the scene.'
He further stated, 'At first glance, it seems this could be a suicide case. To explore all facets of this incident, the police are gathering evidence and information related to the case. An investigation is currently ongoing.'
