Patna, Sep 19 (NationPress) In an extraordinary demonstration of women's liberation and empowerment, numerous women from the Musahar community, a severely impoverished segment of the Scheduled Caste (SC) population, are stepping into a new realm of skill acquisition, establishing a robust groundwork for attaining ‘atmanirbharata.

Six women from the Musahar community in the Danapur block of Patna have successfully completed their training in automobile repair skills and were honored by their mentors. These newly trained professionals are now on track to operate pink buses.

This initiative was launched by Nari Gunjan, an organization dedicated to promoting women's education and self-reliance.

The girls received recognition during the closing ceremony held at the Lalkothi campus in Danapur.

On this special occasion, Vandana Preyasi, Secretary in the Bihar government, extended her best wishes for the students' bright futures.

She remarked, “The resolve and commitment demonstrated by Nari Gunjan in guiding the Musahar community's daughters towards self-reliance is profoundly motivating. These girls have showcased that with the right opportunities, any girl can reveal her capabilities and potential.”

All participants came from modest backgrounds, representing various villages across Patna and nearby districts.

This training, which took place from August 18th to September 16th, encompassed multiple facets of automobile skill development.

Founded in 1987, Nari Gunjan has been a beacon of hope and empowerment for the most underprivileged Musahar community at the grassroots level.

The organization's primary objective is the upliftment of the poorest, landless, and rural women who have historically endured economic hardship, social discrimination, political neglect, and cultural invisibility.

This initiative by Nari Gunjan exemplifies a new approach to social transformation and economic empowerment through education.
