Bengaluru, Jan 24 (NationPress) In reference to the Karnataka Police's appeal against the bail granted to Kannada superstar Darshan in the high-profile fan murder case, which is set for review in the Supreme Court on Friday, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara remarked that the department has fulfilled its responsibilities.

While addressing journalists in Bengaluru, HM Parameshwara noted, “We have completed our work. The police have provided the relevant documents and evidence to the Supreme Court through legal representation.”

“We will await the Supreme Court's ruling on the Karnataka Police's petition before determining our next steps,” he added.

Advocate Anil C Nishani is representing the Karnataka government in this matter.

After securing bail, Darshan has maintained a low profile.

The court stipulated that he and other defendants must appear monthly before it.

During the bail proceedings, Darshan's legal counsel argued that without necessary medical intervention, the actor risked a stroke. However, no updates regarding surgery have been reported since his release.

Ultimately, the court granted him regular bail.

On June 11, 2024, Darshan, Pavithra, and 15 others were taken into custody for the alleged kidnapping and brutal murder of Renukaswamy, a fan from Chitradurga.

Renukaswamy reportedly sent inappropriate and offensive messages to Pavithra Gowda, leading to anger over Darshan's relationship with her despite his marriage.

Following the emergence of images depicting his alleged “royal treatment” at Bengaluru Central Prison, Darshan was transferred to Ballari Prison.

He is currently facing three FIRs linked to the case, with the police submitting a comprehensive 3,991-page charge sheet on September 4, along with an additional document to the court.

On October 30, 2024, Darshan was released from custody after serving 131 days.

Pavithra Gowda, the primary suspect, is known to be a longtime associate of Darshan.

Sources indicate rivalry between Pavithra and Darshan's wife, Vijayalaxmi, concerning luxury items.

She allegedly urged Darshan to appear publicly with her following sightings with his spouse.

Pavithra and Vijayalaxmi have engaged in social media disputes, prompting Darshan's fans to choose sides.

Renukaswamy, an advocate for Vijayalaxmi, criticized Pavithra, ultimately leading to his tragic demise, according to police investigations.
