The collision took place around 7 p.m. when the bus was attempting to overtake another vehicle, leading to a catastrophic head-on impact that caused the bus to flip over.
At the time of the accident, approximately 40 passengers were aboard the bus.
In response to this tragedy, Chief Minister Yadav announced financial aid of four lakh rupees for the families of the deceased.

Initial investigations indicate that excessive speed and negligence during the overtaking maneuver were likely the primary causes of the accident.
The district administration has initiated a comprehensive investigation into this unfortunate event.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed profound sorrow over the incident.
He directed officials to ensure immediate medical assistance for the injured and ordered medical teams from Jabalpur to assist in Chhindwara and Nagpur.
Additionally, he requested Chhindwara's Minister-in-charge, Rakesh Singh, to alter his schedule and arrive in the district without delay.
Those who have sustained critical injuries will receive one lakh rupees each, and all injured passengers will receive complimentary medical treatment.
A control room has been established within the Health Department in Bhopal to continuously monitor the conditions and treatments of all injured individuals.
Hemant Khandelwal, the State Bharatiya Janata Party President and MLA, also conveyed his condolences regarding the accident and wished a swift recovery for the injured victims.
