New Delhi, Aug 1 (NationPress) Delhi's Minister of Art, Culture, and Language, Kapil Mishra, has successfully concluded the plans for the Delhi Book Fair 2025. He announced that the city's language academies will collectively showcase their stalls at the event on a unified platform.
This decision was made during a significant meeting aimed at reviewing the preparations for the forthcoming Delhi Book Fair 2025, as stated in an official release.
Mishra commented, “Delhi serves as a hub for the exchange of ideas, languages, and cultures. The Book Fair will create a shared space for our cultural consciousness and reinforce Delhi’s identity as a cultural epicenter.”
He emphasized that fostering language and culture is a collective moral duty, asserting that the book fair will not only highlight our diversity but also promote a spirit of inclusivity and dialogue.
The meeting's goal, led by Mishra, was to finalize strategies for collaboration, contributions, and presentations from the ACL Department and language academies, ensuring effective representation of their diverse offerings under the Delhi Government's auspices.
Attendees included the Secretary of the ACL Department, representatives from various language academies, such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, and Maithili-Bhojpuri, as well as members of the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP).
It was determined that, for the first time, the Delhi Government will create a unified and integrated stall where all language academies will display their stalls together.
The Delhi Book Fair is being co-organized by the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) and the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). Scheduled from August 6 to 10, it will take place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan.
This event will also incorporate the Stationery Fair and the Office Automation and Corporate Gift Fair, creating a comprehensive platform for education, business, and creativity.
