New Delhi, Aug 15 (NationPress) Delhi's Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena inaugurated the 79th Independence Day celebrations by hoisting the National Flag at Raj Niwas. He urged citizens to reaffirm their commitment to serving the nation with increased dedication.
L-G Saxena honored the brave martyrs and numerous heroes who fought for India's freedom, stating, "It is because of their ultimate sacrifices that our generation enjoys freedom and peace today."
He also recognized the contributions of veteran freedom fighter R. Madavan during the ceremony, which included a ceremonial police contingent presenting a National Salute.
In his Independence Day message to all, particularly the people of Delhi, L-G Saxena encouraged a renewed pledge of service to the nation with enhanced vigor, sincerity, and dedication.
