New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) The Delhi Lieutenant Governor, V.K. Saxena, emphasized the role of young engineers as catalysts for transformation during the convocation of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) at Yashobhoomi. He stated, “Those who immerse themselves in labor are the ones who alter history.”
At the ceremony, themed "Engineering Education for Sustainable and Inclusive Development", LG Saxena referenced a verse from the Yajur Veda - “The Earth is my mother, and I am her child” to highlight the critical necessity of ecological sustainability in our growth and progress.
In his message on social media platform X, the LG reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to UN-COP objectives regarding climate change, carbon emissions, and desertification. He urged graduates to align their careers with these goals to foster sustainable and equitable growth both for India and globally.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed the engineering graduates, stating that under PM Modi's leadership, the nation has unlocked new opportunities for the youth through initiatives like Digital India and the startup ecosystem.
Gupta remarked, “The graduating engineers will shape the future trajectory of Bharat in the upcoming years.”
She encouraged graduates to take inspiration from PM Modi, emphasizing their potential to contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.
“There was a time of minor struggles, but with PM Modi’s leadership, the digital landscape has transformed, making technology accessible to all,” she added, noting the simultaneous advancement across various sectors.
She urged them to prioritize national interest, innovation, and responsibility in their professional endeavors, stating that their participation is crucial for paving the way toward a self-reliant, robust, and developed India.
With numerous challenges facing Delhi, she urged engineering graduates to apply their innovative skills to tackle issues in pollution, infrastructure, and green energy.
