New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) In a significant advancement towards fostering transparent and efficient governance, the Delhi government has teamed up with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to introduce an Intelligent Grievance Monitoring System (IGMS), as announced by Information Technology Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Monday.
The AI-driven platform will amalgamate the primary grievance redressal portals of Delhi into a singular, unified dashboard, facilitating enhanced analysis, expedited resolutions, and improved public service delivery.
At present, residents of Delhi can file complaints through various platforms, including the Public Grievance Management System. While each portal fulfills a specific role, their fragmented operations often result in delays, duplication, and insufficient oversight.
The innovative IGMS, crafted by IIT Kanpur, will efficiently merge these systems utilizing secure APIs and cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, Singh explained.
Key features will encompass a Unified Dashboard, which provides a comprehensive overview of all grievances submitted through PGMS, LG Listening Post, Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), among other grievance portals.
Additionally, it will feature Semantic Search that enables users to search complaints based on meaning rather than just keywords; Root Cause Analysis to pinpoint the fundamental issues behind recurring complaints; and Department Prediction along with Spam Filtering.
IIT Kanpur will oversee system integration, conduct cybersecurity audits (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing), and maintain the portal. This initiative aspires to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in Delhi’s grievance redressal framework, he noted.
Pankaj Kumar Singh stated, “We are leveraging technology to better serve the citizens of Delhi. This AI-enhanced grievance monitoring system will not only unify multiple platforms but also equip our officials with data-driven insights. It marks a significant step toward responsive, accountable, and citizen-focused governance.”
The Intelligent Grievance Monitoring System (IGMS) is a platform based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, designed to consolidate, analyze, and track public grievances. It aims to boost governmental efficiency, shorten complaint resolution times, and build trust between the government and the citizens.
