New Delhi, March 31 (NationPress) India’s Gram Panchayats have successfully facilitated the transfer of over Rs 3 lakh crore through the eGramSwaraj platform. Additionally, the AI-driven 'SabhaSaar' meeting tool has expanded its availability to 23 Indian languages, as announced by the government on Tuesday.

Transactions via eGramSwaraj are processed directly to vendors and service providers in real-time, offering complete digital traceability. This platform is integrated with the Public Financial Management System, enhancing planning, accounting, and expenditure management at the Panchayat level.

By replacing cash-based and paper-driven methods, the system introduces a quicker, more accountable, and fraud-resistant approach.

The government heralded these achievements as two crucial milestones in promoting digital and inclusive governance in rural areas across India.

With the eGramSwaraj platform, India’s Gram Panchayats are experiencing a substantial transformation in digital governance. The AI-enhanced SabhaSaar tool has fostered financial transparency and community engagement at the grassroots level.

During FY26, Panchayati Raj Institutions transferred Rs 53,342 crore via the eGramSwaraj-PFMS interface, with 2,55,254 Gram Panchayats uploading their development plans onto the platform.

A total of 2,59,798 PRIs have been onboarded, with 2,50,807 PRIs executing online payments through eGramSwaraj in FY26, as stated by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, which noted the platform has registered 16,079,737 vendors.

The SabhaSaar tool, which was launched in August 2025, initially available in 13 languages, has now been enhanced to include Assamese, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Santhali, and Sindhi. This allows for recording and documenting gram sabha proceedings in local languages.

SabhaSaar simplifies the automated documentation of minutes, attendance, resolutions, and action points, thus making Gram Sabha processes more accessible and participatory.

The platform, which previously supported Hindi, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, now encompasses the complete linguistic diversity of Panchayati Raj institutions throughout India.
