Hyderabad, Feb 11 (NationPress) Eight devotees from Hyderabad, who were making their way back home after attending the Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh, tragically lost their lives in a road accident on Tuesday.
A minibus carrying the devotees was struck by a truck near Sihora in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
Reports indicate that seven devotees passed away instantly, while another succumbed to injuries during treatment at a hospital.
One individual sustained injuries in the incident, which took place when the truck, loaded with cement bags, was traveling on the wrong side of the road.
Initially, the registration number of the minibus led to the assumption that the devotees hailed from Andhra Pradesh. However, subsequent inquiries by local authorities confirmed that they were from the Nacharam area of Hyderabad.
The deceased were identified as Naveen, Balakrishna, Santosh, Srikanth, Ravi, and Anand. All six were returning from Prayagraj after participating in the Kumbh Mela.
