Gurugram, March 10 (NationPress) - Authorities in Gurugram have detained two engineers accused of the murder of an auto driver following a parking disagreement, as reported by the police on Monday.
The victim has been identified as Sonu (22), who hailed from Gaya, Bihar. The apprehended individuals are Jaideep and Mani Shankar Shukla.
A murder case was registered at the DLF Phase-2 police station based on a complaint lodged by the deceased. Previously, Jaideep was employed at an IT firm but had transitioned to food delivery.
As per police reports, the auto driver had parked his vehicle on the roadside in U Block of DLF Phase-3 on Sunday evening around 6 PM. At that moment, Jaideep and Mani Shankar approached the auto driver, demanding he move his vehicle.
This led to a heated argument, during which the two engineers violently assaulted the auto driver before fleeing the scene. Reports suggest that the victim was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the confrontation.
The victim was subsequently rushed to a civil hospital in Gurugram in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Hospital staff notified the police, who promptly arrived at the location, secured the body, and arranged for an autopsy.
The investigation officer stated, "The body has been secured and sent for postmortem. The individuals responsible for the incident have been apprehended." During questioning, the suspects disclosed that they had previously worked together in an IT company. After losing his job, Mani Shankar returned to his hometown and came back to Gurugram two months ago, staying with Jaideep as he searched for employment.
