FIR Filed Against Khan Global Studies by Patna Police for Misleading Post on X

Patna, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Patna Police have initiated action against Khan Global Studies by filing an FIR for supposedly publishing a misleading and incendiary post on the social media platform X.
The post reportedly called for the release of Khan Sir, even though the police have confirmed that he was neither arrested nor detained during the protests held by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates on Friday.
Khan Global Studies serves as the official X handle for the Khan Sir Coaching Institute.
Anu Kumari, the SDPO of the Sachiwalay range, stated that the post was false and could incite unrest surrounding the ongoing protests related to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination.
“Patna Police SSP Rajeev Mishra had clarified on Friday evening that there was no action taken against Khan Sir. Despite this, the post was shared. It is an unfounded post,” Anu Kumari remarked.
“Khan Sir, a well-known educator, was not arrested or held by Patna Police during the protests by BPSC candidates at the Gardani Bagh Dharna site. Instead, Khan Sir voluntarily visited the Gardani Bagh police station on Friday to see the duty magistrate.
“He assured the magistrate that he would assist in clarifying the situation to the protesting students to ensure peace.
“Following this, he asked for police assistance to safely reach his vehicle parked on Atal Path.
“A police team then escorted him in a police vehicle to his car,” Anu Kumari added.
The incident has raised concerns about misinformation, as a deceptive post from the Khan Global Study Centre on social media called for his release, despite no such detention taking place.
Authorities are currently investigating the matter to tackle the spread of false and incendiary content online, which could heighten tensions during the protests.
This incident underscores the increasing concern regarding the spread of misinformation on social media and its capacity to escalate sensitive situations.
By filing the FIR, the authorities aim to prevent the dissemination of false information and uphold public order.
Investigations are likely to focus on holding those responsible for the post accountable, as such actions could disturb the peace during the already tense atmosphere surrounding the BPSC protests.
This clarification from the SDPO dispels rumors about Khan Sir's detention and emphasizes his cooperative role during the protests.
