Foundation Stone Laid for Ken-Betwa River Linking Project by PM Modi in Madhya Pradesh

Khajuraho, Dec 25 (NationPress) On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa River Link Project in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Additionally, he launched the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project in the Khandwa district of the state through a virtual platform.
The Prime Minister offered his congratulations to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for marking one year in office and extended Christmas greetings to the nation.
Speaking at a public event, PM Modi emphasized that Madhya Pradesh has experienced significant development over the past year under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's guidance.
He remarked that the populace has placed their trust in the BJP due to its effective governance. "A thorough assessment of the governance frameworks in BJP-led states versus others is essential. I am confident that BJP-ruled states will stand out in terms of governance quality," PM Modi stated.
He pointed out that during the Congress administration, many projects were merely announced without any real progress for years. He asserted that the BJP government initiates projects with a focus on the nation’s future.
"It is evident that numerous projects unveiled 30-40 years ago remain unfinished. In contrast, the BJP government is committed to 100% execution. This is the fundamental distinction between the governance styles of Congress and BJP," he explained.
PM Modi urged scholars and analysts to review the 75 years of governance in India post-independence. "We need to determine 100-200 developmental and public interest parameters to evaluate the governance performance of Congress, Left, and Communist regimes versus BJP administrations. I assert with certainty that wherever BJP has had the chance to serve, we have shattered previous records and succeeded in advancing public welfare and development. We strive tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of our freedom fighters..."
He criticized the Congress party for neglecting the water scarcity issue in Bundelkhand and other regions, stating, "The concept of Jal Shakti was first envisioned by Dr. Ambedkar, yet Congress never acknowledged his contributions," PM Modi remarked.
With seven decades since independence, many states continue to contest water sharing from rivers, an issue that Congress governments failed to address adequately.
"When Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as Prime Minister, he committed to advancing Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for Jal Shakti. However, this project was stalled when Congress regained power in 2004. Today, Madhya Pradesh is set to commence the first river linking project," PM Modi concluded.
